North America's Largest Ski Area is Officially Open for the Season!

Methow Trails | 12/14/2018 | Blog, Methow Valley, The Great Outdoors, Winter Fun

Methow Trails is officially open for skiing, fat biking, and snowshoeing! Currently about 50% of the trails are groomed and open, primarily in the Sun Mountain, Rendezvous, and Mazama areas. Preliminary grooming will continue in other areas with an anticipated opening of the rest of the system after the next storm.

Daily conditions, ticket information, trail recommendations, and a live grooming report are available on the website (www.methowtrails.org) and the mobile app (search Methow Trails). Follow Methow Trails on Facebook and Instagram for photos and updates.

Methow Trails is 42 years old and is the largest cross-country ski area in North America, with over 220km (120+ miles) of groomed trails. We connect people, nature, and communities through a world-class trail system. The Methow Trails network is groomed daily to ensure a high-quality experience for all users, and there are trails for classic and skate cross country skiers, fat bikers, snowshoers, and dogs. Pass and ticket information can be found on the website. Methow Trails has over a dozen events taking place with winter, including the Backyard Ski Day(free lessons, trail use, rentals, and more!), the family-friendly Ski to the Sun Marathon and Relay, weekly Ski Shuttle Bus, the always-hilarious Doggie Dash, and more. Check out the full events calendar here. Winter is here! See you on the trails!
