Heading into locally-owned shops and businesses gives you an opportunity to grab some local color, chat with the folks behind the counter (often times this may be the owner), and of course, grab souvenirs to take home from your travels for friends, family and yourself! (We are big fans of the edible sort of souvenirs, particularly those that happen to be coated in a dusting of sugar). Public markets and farmers markets are a great spot to shop and many are home to a huge variety of local goods including hand-crafted artisanal gifts and locally-sourced produce. Galleries and public art collectives can be another place to find one-of-a-kind souvenirs that really allow you take home an authentic piece of your Cascade Loop experience.
