Featuring NASCAR, Drag, Drift and Demo events at the Evergreen Speedway, premier wakeboard and triathlon competitions at Lake Tye, and year-round events at the Evergreen State Fair Park such at The Great Junk Hunt, Monroe entertains thousands of visitors each year. 

Monroe offers relaxed, family and pet-friendly hotels, glamping, camping and RVs parks with plenty of room for large groups, vehicles, toys and gear. Monroe's Westside: Lake Tye's acres of green space, synthetic turf complex, and family-friendly beach / boat access make it a premier venue for professional wakeboard competitions, events, concerts, fishing and more. The Fryelands / industrial area across from Lake Tye is home to dozens of specialty, custom and high-end auto, sports and retail services as well as a brewery and casual dining options for lake goers.

Venture off US 2 to explore Historic Downtown which offers an array of restaurants including fares such as Thai, authentic Hispanic, Indian Cuisine, Farm-to-Table and more. Breweries and tasting rooms along with the City’s Historical Museum also reside on Main Street. Boutique shops, vintage stores, bakeries, coffee shops, and a bookstore are just a few businesses located along Main Street.

Additional attractions include the Western Heritage Museum on West US 2 and Reptile Zoo on East US 2.
